Equipment and System Engineering supports mechanical engineering for electrical and fluidic design including complete integration into the system architecture. Using the 3DEXPERIENCE® platform for all data and intellectual property (IP), from product specification to manufacturing requirements, allows secure access in real-time by all product stakeholders. In addition, the unique RFLP (requirement, functional, logical, physical) infrastructure links manufacturing planning and documentation with internal system requirements, functional definition, logical definition, physical definition and behavioral simulation. End-to-end traceability from the original requirements to the final product helps optimize the systems design.

Lean improvements result from using a single, unified product definition across all related engineering disciplines. This capability allows cross-discipline systems modeling, optimization and analysis and systems-level configuration management.
