Assembly Process Engineering & Virtual Build

Create, visualize and document manufacturing plans & work instructions for the assembly line

Assembly Process Engineering & Virtual Build provides a 3D environment to create, visualize and document manufacturing plans and work instructions in the context of the virtual assembly line to be pushed downstream for execution. Assembly Planners can access and reuse engineering data concurrently to beginning planning the manufacturing processes early in the design phase. Real-time visibility into engineering changes utilizing the digital thread between design and manufacturing accelerate the speed to incorporate these changes quickly back to the manufacturing floor. Multiple product and process variants can be incorporated into the Manufacturing BOM to be validated and reviewed in the context of the virtual assembly line.

The MBOM for as-specified end-items can be defined considering make-buy decisions, condition of supply, production rate, and cost targets.  Users can view traceability and consumption of the Engineering BOM and validate all key-characteristics have been addressed.

To meet targeted production rates, quality and efficiency targets, the delivery of the complete manufacturing dossier is essential. The authoring of zeroD, 2D and 3D standard work instructions enables the manufacturing operator on the shop floor to reach the production target and reduce learning curved through 3D-enabled work instructions. With the digital continuity of the 3DEXPERIENCE® platform, the implementation of an engineering or manufacturing change into the Work Instruction is fast, intuitively system supported and partially automated to ensure correct data is sent to the Shop Floor. Validated process plans and visual accurate work instructions directly feed the manufacturing operations management of the shop floor.
